Sonkinetic has recently launched its new Kontakt instrument, Sotto X, and it includes a synthesized catalog of sounds based on the Sotto orchestral phrase library. Further, the project is a collaboration with Samplify, and it takes the original orchestral scores for Sotto and transforms them into lush arpeggios and melodic pads.

Sonokinetic libraries are used by countless musicians, sound designers, and producers. Now, their latest library Sotto X uses analog synthesis to recreate the infamous sounds of Sonokinetic’s original Sotto library.

Sonokinetic shares a love for the sound of old synths, and vintage hardware has long been a fascination for the team here at Sonokinetic. As fledgling music producers, long before Sonokinetic could afford high-end orchestral recording, they would craft intricate facsimiles of orchestral sections using nothing more than MIDI programming and synthesizers.

Rekkerd reports that Sonokinetic has used its new Sotto X library to bring its journey as a developer full circle and “add an extra dimension to their favorite orchestral phrase libraries”. The library has been designed to complement the existing Sotto orchestral phrases, and Sotto X is “just as playable” as the brads’ other virtual instruments. The sounds within have been expertly created and recorded using an analog signal path, for both the synth tones and post-production effects.

Sotto X is currently on sale at Plugin Boutique for an introductory price of $67 until December 26th, 2022. After the introductory period, the regular price will be $99.
